So viel sei gesagt: Das “Warum” blieb …

New realities is the title of this year’s Digital, Life, Design conference which is not about an unpredictable future it is more about our unpredictable realities. There is so much to do right now, in this single moment, there is so much changing in a felt second that even a conference which brings together some of the most visionary people of the world is concentrating on the here and now. Maybe that’s the new pragmatism maybe it is just smart as our times are exciting enough. Let’ s see what …

Stephanie Czerny, the host of the DLD and Maria Furtwängler-Burda, Hubert Burda’s wife who is hosting the upcoming panel “Woman Power”
This morning was an intense one: starting with a glorious chat with René Seifert, a true global citizen who provides the ground with his company Level 360 in India on two major areas: Globalization and Web 2.0, also being an angel investor in companies in the media/tech-space, he seems to be at the same time everywhere else in the world (get a glimpse of his world tours here).
Just shortly afterwards …

Outside of Pinakothek der Moderne
First day of DLD always means to feel like being back in childhood when Sundays still felt like Sundays: blue sky, an incredible beautiful and empty Hofgarten where I walk through on my way to Pinakothek der Moderne where we have a date with its major design curator of “Die Neue Sammlung“, Dr. Corinna Rösner, will give us a private tour around one of the world’s leading museums of 20th century applied art, and indeed the largest of industrial design.
It is such a pleasure to start …

Take this: a supermodel, inventing new media into fashion, building a successful company around it and manage to stay one of the hottest models and, as a little side job, become a loved one in the underground art scene for being a great MOBILE artist.
Impossible? Not. Here comes Anina. I met her at LeWeb08 where Anina’s red hair would seem to glow everywhere, always on the run for interviews, such as the one she did with Marissa Mayer from Google talking with her about her personal …

1700 participants from all over the world. Some “little” difficulties with fulfilling the basic needs like getting warm, getting something to eat and having some w-LAN at an internet conference. I guess Loïc Le Meur’s heart had a pretty stressfull time behind the scenes.

But it seems that LeWeb’s fascination did not suffer. Thousands of blog entries summed it up: participants would fly home, after freezing, being constantly hungry, but very happy with especially one thing: opportunities! As Ewan Spance brings it to the point, LeWeb is the …

I already feel like a real Parisienne this morning when I am running down “my” street at the wonderful République, wearing a really French style hat and hopping on the métro to head to LeWeb again. Not sure, if these drinks last night at the mySpace Party in the illustrious Palais Maillot were really good for the look of freshness but they helped to deal with my electronic seeking ears which, of course, would not get what they were longing for this night.

Paris in winter feels kind of the same as Berlin does. NOT nice. But I ignore the mean cold wind as I am on my way to le web which is to be said the biggest web conference in Europe. Looking at the programme it feels it is also the one with the strongest focus on technology. Urgh. At least they try to add a little bit of content, presenting “love” as the overall theme. Will see how lovely this turns out to be. I will do my very best …

New. Now. Different. Better. Unique…innovation is the key for our hectically breathing 21st century. But the time when hecki techi engineers developed new amazing products in their mystic labors has passed.
With the rise of social media, innovation was suddenly driven by…the mass (uuhhh…). Which turned out to be a good one for creativity: It would finally get the full infusion of ideas which would be shared and shared and shared.
